Molasses Creek performed at the new Carolina Moon Theater in Hertford, NC

My Love and I went to see them in Concert at the new Little Theater called Carolina Moon in Hertford , NC ,Saturday January 16, and it was everything I always knew it would be to see them perform in person....but even more so at the Carolina Moon, as it is a small (50 seat?) theater that allows the ultimate experience. It reminded me of the night I first saw Ceili Rain at The Pit in 1999 in Kill Devil Hills.

The Carolina Moon and Molasses Creek made for a intimate romantic experience for my sweetheart and I and a great place to people watch too.

This is a definite must do the Carolina Moon has two events coming up ...

Mattamuskeet Wildlife Refuge ...a Day with the Birds
Friday, January 1, 2016

A cooperative day for the migratory birds…as well as the resident birds.

Tundra Swans have a yellow tear drop under their eye on the bill , juvenile tundra swans are a bit smaller and greyish tones to the head. Trumpeter swans look like tundra swans, but do not have the yellow tear drop and are larger birds. The current winter range of trumpeter swans are along the west coast and in the north-central United States. Some have come to the east coast this year as they did decades ago. Some swans at Mattamuskeet have perished from suspected lead poisoning according to a refuge employees who was picking up a few dead birds from the roadsides.

Egrets, Herons, Coots, Northern Shovelers and Divers. overall a great day please enjoy my pictures ...thank you
